Hazleton City, Pa (Luzerne County), Structure Fire 25 May 09 : 533 North Vine St, Working Fire in the basement with minor extension quickly contained. Hazleton PD were in the area investigating a Motor Vehicle Accident when they heard a smoke alarm and noticed smoke coming from the residence. Hazleton City L-1, E-2, E-4 and Chief 1 responded to the scene. APTS Medic 11D and Hazleton City PD also stood by on scene.

Freeland Boro, Pa (Luzerne Co.) MVC Hazmat 16 Apr 09 : Freeland Fire and EMS dispatched to the area of Front and Birkbeck St's for a reported explosion in the area. Units arrived to find a Tractor-Trailer that caught a low lying wire and pulled down a utility pole. The pole had 3 transformers on it that powered most of the Boro. 2 Transformers came down on an unoccupied parked vehicle and began to leak oil. The leak was contained by members of Freeland. Fire and EMS units were assisted by the Freeland PD, Freeland EMA, Luzerne County EMA, PP&L and Falzones Towing and Hazmat team. Crews operated for approx. 6 hours until the scene was cleaned up and a new pole was put up.

Hazle Twp., Pa (Luzerne Co.) Vehicle Fire 07 Mar 09 : Hazle Twp. Fire/Rescue, APTS Medic 11 and McAdoo BLS dispatched to a reported vehicle fire on Transportation Rd.in the Hazle Village Section of the Twp. E-102 and T-106 responded. APTS also had a unit on scene and McAdoo BLS stood by in quarters. Units were assisted by the Pennsylvania State Police also. www.hazletwpfirerescue.com
